Somehow it still be listed as an extreme sport, the very first one that I tried in this type. As an always-wanna-try-new-and-crazy-thing-type like me, it’s not so surprise that I like it, and enjoy it… at least till I tried the 2nd time and managed to get better though just a little bit.
A lot cooler than skiing, yeah just from its outlook first, not sure from whom or since when people started to think and differentiate snowboard and ski as for pro and … chicken (or maybe just some phony younger’s idea). Anyway it’s easier to show off, easier to master, easier to learn new technique, easier to fall and stand up as well. Then, why don’t give it a try?
Talk about falling, a beginner would be fear of it, tried not to fall and just make themselves clumsier. Keep sliding not snowboarding with no progress. Then the turning point come when u fall for the 1st time… hurt of cuz, but not much_ thank god we got the amazing snow ground (and another advantage of snowboard since fall from ski is more painful than from snowboard). Since u knew it’s not that scared… the braver u feel the better ur skill re.
Without afraid of height, u could climb to any top, take whatever the road u want to slide cuz u know that even if u fail, the pain would also not significant and u can easily stand up again. Time to enjoy to the fullest the landscape, the view and other admirable glare from others.
It really sounds like a no-other-better-choice stuff in life, however after u have a big dinner, relaxing in a hot bath tub, laying lazily in ur comfortable bed… in a slow and very gentle way… all the pain make its come back… all at once. U thought it wouldn’t hurt that much, it couldn’t make u feel miserable that much… but here it could.
Every time u fell, it has sowed a seed inside, then the sprout with its roots keep spreading … gradually. U must have realized, u must have known that there’s smt wrong from the beginning… but still at that time u got blinded by all the joyfulness, all the happiness when u did make a great challenge. The poor u have been fooled by such a sweet deadly fantasy.
